When we are sending the Âµ character to MQ Series outbound Queue
At the receving end it gets converted to #

We are using VB 6

In MQ series explorer CCSID for QMGR is 437

Version of MQ series is WebSphereTM MQ for WindowsTM, V5.3

if you do not want any conversion, make sure there is no "get convert" ikn the application program and no convert option on the sender channels.

if you do want conversion, check the codepages for the sending ccsid and the receiving ccsid how characters are translated.

We tried the following in the VB6 code and it seems to have worked

Message.CharacterSet = 1252
