| Binding connexion on Windows 2000 |

Hi,
I work with MSeries V5.2 and MQ Java.
With binding connection I receive error 2059. But when I try to connect to the same queue with the same application in client connection, all it's ok. So the queue manager is available...

Manuela,
where does your queue manager live? Is it on the same box as your application?

Yes, the application run on the same box as the queue manager.
I have checked it again.
Our application can be configure to run with binding or client connection : we use a configuration file to set the QM, queue, channel, host, port, userid and pswd. So I tried to launch the same application on Windows NT with binding connection on a local queue manager : no error.
On Windows2000 server :
. MQSeries has been installed on C:MQSeries
. MA88 on the default directory c:program filesibmmqseriesjavalib
. classpath = ...;C:MQSeriestoolscsamplesbin;C:MQSeriesbin;c:program filesibmmqseriesjavalib
. path = C:Program FilesIBMMQSeriesJavalibcom.ibm.mq.jar;C:Program FilesIBMMQSeriesJavaLibjta.jar;C:Program FilesIBMMQSeriesJavaLib

Manuela,
I really hate to ask these kinds of questions  , but...
a) is your queue manager on the Win200 box started and running fine?
b) can you connect to it through the command line, for example using runmqsc?
c) is the queue manager name in your config file exactly spelled the same way than the queue manager you are trying to connect to? (case sensitive)
That's all I can think of for now.

I have checked the 3 points :
a) is your queue manager on the Win200 box started and running fine?
The QM is started using control command (strmqm).
On the Windows 2000 Explorer the QM has the following parameter :
local/remote = local
queue manager status = running
connection status = NOT CONNECTED
But when we connect to the QM as remote QM, the paramater are :
local/remote = remote
queue manager status = running
connection status = CONNECTED
b) can you connect to it through the command line, for example using runmqsc?
