Problem while executing UPES Samples

I have configured the setenv.bat, startUpes.bat and sample1.properties files. I imported the sample1.fdl into MQWF runtime. when i run the startUpes.bat it raises the following error

The java class could not be loaded. java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

I have loaded all the required jar files.

I am using DB2 v8.1
MQ v5.3
MQWF v3.5

Looks like a java issue to me... is your classpath properly set?
