Hi everyone,
I'm getting the error below when I try to create a new queue manager on iSeries. There is an existing queue manager on the system which is fine (I can stop/start, recreate queues or channels...). I have full access to all objects on the system under the SECOFR profile also. The error I'm getting is the following:
Space offset X'404052E3' or X'0000000000000000' is outside current limit
for object QPADEV0001MQADMIN 001184.
Application error. MCH0601 unmonitored by AMQOCRMX at statement
0000000039, instruction X'0000'. |

Normally iSeries gives a lot of info when an error occurs, but you can also look to fdc files and amqerr logs. They can give some important info about
the error. I guess MCH0601 is to much generic in iSeries world.

Which version are you at? Based on the problem description, I would look at the possible AMQ error code in the log file along with MCH0601. I came across a similar error in the past while starting a Qmgr when MQ tried to operate outside the specified space for the profile. Since you mentioned about a specific profile, it makes sense to know if you are in a menu driven environment or a command line one. Perhaps more info could help. |

Thanks for the replies on this.
I solved it by simply removing MQ through 'go licpgm' and then reinstalling it again from a SAVF. Everything works fine now so perhaps I hadn't got permissions on all the QMQM objects or something... |
