Hi,
I want to takeup MQSeries certification. I work with MQSeries on WindowsNT.
Could someone enlighten me on Certification test patterns, sample test questions, FAQ etc that will help me towards my certification?
What other experience is needed to achieve a certification?
I will be delighted if anyone could answer my post.
Thanks a lot...
Dilip

Hi.
There was a long discussion about this on the list server a few weeks ago. I found it very useful.
You can check the archives at the address below, just search for “certification”.

Hi,
Scott, thanks for site, that was very informative, I am still going through that.
Bower5932, Actually I have been to IBM's site, but the MQSeries tests are pretty vague. For websphere, there are a lot of sample tests on this site (http://certify.torolab.ibm.com/). I hope to find something similar, to test my MQSeries skills.
Thanks again for responding

Not sure what you call vague.
http://www.ibm.com/certify
has sample tests that closely replicate the real ones, but with far fewer questions.
By studying the subject areas as described and testing yourself with the samples you should be able to pass the MQ/MQSI specialist exams easily enough.
The solution expert tests require wider experience and I don't think just study is enough to pass these. It helps to have some mainframe background for example.
I've passed 095, 096, 097, 290 and 291 in the last couple of years.
However to be fair they really prove your ability to choose the correct option out of five rather than actually do the work. |
