Hi,
Does anyone know how to force the Info Center to re-build it's search index, as mine has started acting wierd.
If I open the Info Center (V6) from Start -> IBM Websphere MQ -> Documentation -> Information Center 6.0 and enter a search, I only get results from the last Support Pac I installed. However, if I use the Help -> Help Contents from the Explorer, then I get all the results I expect.
I've already tried un-installing the Information Center (which, BTW, removes it from both the Start Menu and the Explorer), re-booting, cleaning out the "left over" directories, re-booting, and the re-installing. Which did nothing to help the situation. Although, I did notice after this, that using the Help from the Explorer did a new Index re-build, whereas from the Start Menu it didn't.
Suggestions.

I was thinking about writing a book... The title would be "Me and the Windows Installer-- A true story"
Maybe a far shot... But maybe the windows indexing service has something to do with those indexes as well... Whitch would then lead to to the question on how to get rid of that index |
