I want system time along with zone like EST or CST

How to get Zone using ESQL

(not tested)

Code:

SET diff = EXTRACT( HOUR from (CURRENT_TIMESTAMP - CURRENT_GMTTIMESTAMP);
SET tz = CASE diff
WHEN 0 THEN 'GMT'
WHEN 1 THEN 'CET'
...
END;

...not perfect because daylight saving time. Another solution would be a database fucntion, e.g. in Oracle:

SELECT SESSIONTIMEZONE FROM DUAL;
