Anyone using this REXX for MQ on MVS/ESA, support pac MA18?
It's not been updated for a while, but works fine. However when I attempt to put a message of a size more than about 8 MB, I get a system abend 804-16 inside RXMQV module.
This indicates that there is no private area storage available. The private area size is about 9MB below the 16MB line and loads more above.
RXMQV is linked as AMODE 31, RMODE 24. I can't understand why it would perform a getmain below the line, but it must be.
I don't suppose anyone at IBM can send me the source code for this support pac so I can change it? |

| We use it for sending simple, short messages;,certainly not the large messages that you're producing. AMODE(31) is a requirement for MVS MQ code to work properly, but it doesn't mean the creator of the supportpac has to do getmains above the line. Unfortunately, I believe all the REXX-related supportpacs are no longer supported. IBM left the users holding the bag. Hope you get the source. |
