but, with the new Java Compute Nodes in broker V6, you obviously can ...

From ESQL Calling Java Methods in V5 and V6 you can call overloaded methods on the Java side, if they each have a different name on the ESQL side.
However, if the question was do ESQL functions and procedures themselves allow or support overloading, the answer is no.
