I have two independent WMQI2.1 brokers running on the same physical AIX box.
Each of the broker needs to access separate NNSY (Neon rules and formats) database
(separation between Development and UAT). ...
Here is excerpt from "Planning for migratin and integration" WMQI2.1 guide:
"It should also be noted that only one rules and formatter database can be accessed
per machine. This means that if two brokers are installed in the same machine they
must both access the same rules and formatter database there can only be one
nnsyreg.dat on a particular machine."
Clearly stated, but I have doubts.
Two separate users can access two separate nnsyreg.dat files on the same machine - I tested this part.
TIA for your opinion, George |

I think the manual is incorrect. I have tried this and it appears to work. Just set the environmental variable NN_CONFIG_FILE_PATH that the broker picks up when it runs to a different nnsyreg.dat file and it will be fine. This is my plan for our site until we get rid of NNSY components. |

Hi,
We want do find out if we can do as above with the neonreg.dat file using MQSI v202.
Has anyone run brokers using different NEON databases on the same AIX machine?
Do I understand correctly that they just have to run under different id's and therefore use different profiles?
Thanks,
Vicky

Also, is there any "cleaner" way of doing this, e.g. a handy tip to tell a broker/message flow to use a different Session like nnrie and nnfie being able to point to different places?
Thanks |
