An activity is routed to a group of users, and one of the users checked out the workitem, does it automatically mean that the workitem would disappear from everyone else worklist?

Hi Paradox,

It doesnt remove from the worklist but the status is changed to DISABLED for all the other users. You can set Filter to remove it from the worklist if required.

It would disappear UNLESS you have specified to KEEP fininshed workitems. Realize that it is still in the database, it is just not displayed on the worklist

John,
What if more than one activity is placed on worklist and in our case, is related to the same account. What I mean by that is in our Organization mulitple workitems can come in on the 'same account'. i.e. correspondence, change request, etc. In those cases we want force the first user to work 'all' items? This eliminates two users from servicing the same account and allows the account to be serviced once.....

If that is the case, I don't think you want to staff all your activites by role. Staff the first one by role, and the others by "Starter of Activity1"

Good Luck

John,
I have my hard hat on today and need your help!
By doing what you requested will this:
1. only appear then on the one worklist
2. group all workitems together and somehow force the person to work
all before working other items
Please explain
Thanks

Whichever user works activity 1 will then see all of the other activities that are assigned to "Starter of activity 1" show up on their worklist.

The user will not be forced to work the activites (2 thru n). But they will have the option to work them, since they will appear on their worklist.

GOOD LUCK

Hi,

Just to add John's comment.

1) If you have a process model A->B->C and so on. If activity A is assigned to multiple people and you would like to assign activity C to the same person who carried out activity A, then you can use the option "Starter of Activity - A" for the activity C. This way you can make the workitem appear in the same person's worklist.

2) You cannot force the user to work on it but you can either sort the list with the priority or you can create a seperate Worklist for these prioratised work item so that they can act on it before working on normal ones.

Hope this will be of your help.

Cheers
Ved
