Message Broker Home Page is missing link to Message Broker Edition 5.0 , but it has still links to 2.1 .

Probably a mistake , wrote a note to IBM , alternatively found the information that i need through the search though.

But it will be nice to keep the "old" version in main page for easier access , or is it an intended behaviour.

Here is the link http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/wbimessagebroker/

Thanks
Ram.

Can any of the new components on v6 be made available on v5?

Are you asking if functions available in V6 (timeout nodes, java compute nodes, dynamic database selection, MQGET node...) can be deployed to a v5 broker? If thats the question, then "no" is the answer. You can use the new tooling to deploy to older broers, provided you do'nt include any newer function in the flows.

Back after being away....I apologize if this is already out there somewhere, but I found an interesting article on "What's new in WebSphere Message Broker v6":
