Hi,
We run MQ version 5, on a seperate set of servers, and some WAS applications that access MQ (on a different set of servers). In the Websphere Application Server logs, we are getting tonnes and tonnes of messages saying :-
MQ init error. An environment variable "mqserver" is not defined. Default value = "svr1"
I googled and couldn't find anything - anyone give any ideas what it needs to be set to to stop them or any other method of stopping them as there are a large number.
It doesn't appear to be affecting anything as I can still request details that MQ are required for, it just fills the logs up real fast.
Thanks in advance

I would bet that this is an application log entry - and NOT an MQ or WAS entry.
MQ doesn't default any values for environment variables, and neither does WAS.
Also, both would maybe use 'MQSERVER', and report it that way, but not 'mqserver'. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
