Has anyone been successful in creating the CICS (MQCIS message type) in VB ??
I'm having a bit of trouble constructing the CICS header in VB.
I am using the MQAX200.dll activeX.
I always get a message saying the CICS header is invalid when I attempt to put the message object, BUT IT DOESN'T EVER SAY WHY.
Since there are numerous fields in the header, I have no way of "crawling" step-by-step to a solution (I have tried MANY, MANY methods to do this).
I sure appreciate any help on this.
IBM's documentation is lacking ... and so has there tech support been so far...
They said they did not "support" this since they had no specific documentation. But they said it "could be done" ....??? |

I have not worked with the CICS header, but the MQAX200 interface, in general, is not good when working with headers, since it seems to corrupt any header information you put in the MessageData property.
Just for grins, try creating your CICS header using the old Win32 MQ API, and see if you get better results.
Also, for what it's worth, the event log on the MQSI server captures a hex dump of your MQMD and message so you can see exactly what's going wrong. |
