You should be aware that support for DCE (and therefore Kerberos) has been removed in MQ V6. _________________ -wayne |

You mean like this:
Quote: |
Function no longer supported
The following functions, provided in previous levels of WebSphere MQ, are not supported in WebSphere MQ V6.0:
* 32-bit hardware support for AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris; 32-bit application support remains
* Distributed Computing Environment (DCE);

I suppose you can look in the Intercommunications manual if you **REALLY** must configure kerberos exits. But again, may I strongly suggest you look at either SSL support of some of our third-party products for secure channels. _________________ -wayne |

Hi,
We have Kerberos exits configured on MQ v5.3 and are planning to upgrade to MQ6. I installed MQ6.0.2 on a dev box but now cannot connect to a queue manager which uses a kerberos security exit.
The following errors are seen in EventViewer: -
Event Type: Error
Event Source: KerberosMQSE
Event Category: None
Event ID: 517
Date: 22/05/2007
Time: 09:27:45
User: N/A
Computer: MQSGD0001
Description:
Failed to accept security context. Status 90312
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: KerberosMQSE
Event Category: None
Event ID: 513
Date: 22/05/2007
Time: 09:27:45
User: N/A
Computer: MQSGD0001
Description:
Failed to initialize security context. Status: 80090322
Are there any changes required to the kerberos setup when upgrading to MQ6?
Thanks in advance |

As Wayne said before, support for Kerberos has been deprecated in V6! _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Specialist

Hi,
I have managed to get the sample amqrspin.dll kerberos exit to work with MQ6! However, we customised the sample IBM exit to add logging and error handling. This version doesnt work. I have tried re-compiling it againt the version libraries but to no avail.
Any ideas? |
