Hi,
We have a C++ DLL that allows users of it to make MQSeries calls. When this DLL is called by a java application it is done so through a JNI layer. A servlet running under websphere is calling this JNI layer to C++ DLL. It is also calling the regular Java MQ libraries (Please dont ask me why). The error we are getting is a 2018. I know this is a real random question, but does anyone have any thoughts on this? Email me if you think you know anything about this.
Thanks in advance,
Shammy |

The 2018 is an MQRC_HCONN_ERROR which indicates that you have a problem with your connection handle. Are you trying to do connections in one side of what you are doing and then trying to pass it over to the other side? Also, where are you getting your 2018? Is it in the java or the C++ DLL? |

The two connections on either side are mutually exclusive. I am not passing the connection handle from one to another. The 2018 that I am getting is on the C++/JNI Dll side.

At what point in time do you get this error, is it on an MQOPEN call? Can you verify that your C++ code is successfully able to MQCONNect? If you exit the C++ DLL after the MQCONN call, what happens to the variable (storage) associated with the HCONN, is it defined as static?
Just some thoughts, I hope they are of some use.
