Bloody hell! I just did this yesterday - changed the MAXDEPTH for 20 queues...

Next step would be to have MQExplorer automatically let you know if there are any dependencies, and ask you if you want to automatically change or delete them. |

And the step after that would be templates built around naming standards...
"You are attempting to create a queue called MY.APP1 - do you want to apply the MY.APP* template?"...

you are attempting to create a Queue called MY.APP1 , sorry that's not according to our naming standard, please fill out the request form below and we'll generate an appropriately named object for you 
Cool to see all these new capabilities put to use!
maybe one day I'll write my own plug-in...

Nahh. That's the plug-in that shows up when anyone starts the MQExplorer - except of course, the right people.
OR, fun things you could do if you could intercept/override the Command Server...

How about a plug-in for passing a prompted RACF userid/password for Admin into z/OS via the new GUI? Should be SUPPLIED by IBM in my opinion.

Well, that's the easy part.
A better question is, who is going to write the z/OS security exit to receive the passed UserID and password and then call RacRoute / RACF to validate the UserID & password combination.
Or who is going to write the encryption code for the client-side and the decryption code for the server-side, so that the password is not sent across the wire in plain text.
