Hi, I've looked at the manuals and docs on the web for ages trying to find out what I'm doing wrong here exactly, sure it's something stupid! I want an application to be triggered when the queue depth reaches a limit basically.
The local queue has Triggering 'On', trigger type of Depth, Trigger Depth 1, Init Queue name of CRAIG.MON.INITQ and a process name of MQMON.PROCESS.

The initiator is running for CRAIG.MON.INITQ (has an open input count of 1)

The Process MQMON.PROCESS has app type of Windows NT and an APPID of C:\MQMON\SendAlert.pl

When the queue reaches the queue depth of 1 I get this in the error log:

The channel initiator program received a trigger message to start an MCA program to process queue 'TEST.MOM'. The program could not find a defined, available channel to start.

Ensure that there is a defined channel, which is enabled, to process the transmission queue.

Could someone explain to me why this process isn't being called please?

Runing MQ 5.3 CSD07 on Windows AS 2000, only the above can be found as an error (no fdc's etc)

You don't run a channel initiator against the init queue.

You run a trigger monitor.
