Hello there ,
Is there a way to specify the MAXMSGL and MAXDEPTH when you create your queue manger first time? I am new to MQ but when I create the queue manger I have to go back and change all deafult objects and set up the maxmsgl and maxdepth for all .

Not that I know of.

But it's a short set of runmqsc commands to alter things, and easily stuck in a file and scripted.

Can't be done in Unix/Windows. As jeff said, create a script to change all default object parameters, and make it a habit of running it after creating each QM.

In z/OS its easy, you change CSQINP2 before first run.
