I have a 202 broker on Solaris, running Oracle 817. I wish to connect out from the broker to another database running on another machine. I know I have to update the /var/mqsi/odbc/.odbc.ini file. But how do I tell the definitiions in the .odbc.ini file that the application database is on a nother machine? Do I need to mess around with tnsnames.ora????

The configuration in odbc.ini related to a local data source definition. This
data source is defined with an database access client (like SQL*Net) on your machine. The local data source definition can point to a local or remote database. tnsnames.ora is used on an Oracle client. A catalog entry is used by db2 (please read the db2 docs).
