Hi,
We are wondering if we will use the new HTTP nodes in WBIMB 5.0. They are used to interract with webservices and then over the HTTP protocol. Then when a message is lost has WBIMB added a software layer to resend messages and to provide persistence ? what security have we about message delivery ? we think that there is no persistence but it just to be sure.
Is the http messaging slower than ms messaging ?
Any other informations about theses nodes can be usefull for us,
Thanks in advance ;O) |

The nodes use just HTTP. There are no IBM extensions or enhancements.
HTTP is stateless, and synchronous, and uses only a single request/reply mode. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

thank's for confirming our doubt
I have two last questions on http nodes,
In the documentation they said that the nodes are used to communicate with web services. But I suppose they can also be used to communicate with any other technologies that send messages over HTTP ? like a JSP page with "post" or "get" forms ? or asp.net pages ?
is the http transport more or less quicker than MQ transport or TCP transport ? |

Both MQ Transport and HTTP Transport are sent over TCP.
MQ is a more complicated protocol than HTTP - it also provides more services.
The HTTP nodes in WBIMB do not, that I know of, support GET. But it is just HTTP - so anything that talks HTTP can be communicated with. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
