Hi All,
I am planning to set up MQ SSL-channel set up using openssl(on HP-UX-itanium) and GSkit on AIX.
As the aix box is a development one..the developers are already using the queues created for their testing(2 QMRS with port 1414 & 1415).
But I have to set up SSL which is due and I was unable to set up between openssl and GSkit at the time of creation of QMGR's for developers.
Now I want to test SSL set up again with a test QMGR but I am afraid I can't use both ports 1414,1415 as they are alredy in use.
Can I use any port other than them like 1420,1421 to create a new QMGR on the AIX development box and try SSL again with another HP-UX itanium box we have as a spare. Will I face any firewall issues.Thank You.
Nobody other than your firewall administrator can tell you if you will face firewall issues.
You can start an mq listener on any port at all.
EDIT: Also, you can start more than one listener on a single queue manager - on different ports, of course. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
