Siebel app which uses AMI has issues resolving queues definitions and throws error 2189. Per 'WebSphere MQ Messages' it has to do with absent response from a repo qmgr.

- All qmgrs are aware of what they are (repo vs. non repo)and see one another
- I have checked AMI settings and they appear to be correct...
- I have put a test message to the above mentioned cluster queues using MQ Explorer and received it at my destination without any errors...
- I have refreshed the cluster
- I have pulled out and put back Siebel qmgr into to the cluster...
Still the same error

I am apparently missing something here...

Please advise

Eva

have you checked the dis qcluster(*) on the source and target qm's. if you have put the message from the source to the target QM via the MQExplorer the cluster queue should appear in this listing on the source QM. If they queue is showing up then check you are using the correct case.

Without seeing the dis qlcuster(*) and clusqmgr(*) outputs from the QM's involved its hard to say what the issue is.

A worthwile check is to see the QMID in is not set to something like SYSTEM.TEMP. If it is then there is an issue with your cluster that needs resolving

Thanks for respnse...

Turns out that app qmgr wanted to talk to one of the repo qmgrs on the mframe, which was suspended. Once resumed app qmgr was able to resolve q info. I am just curious why ??? Shouldn't the qmgr got his reply from repo qmgr accepting work ???
