Hallo all.
When I use 'runmqsc' and other commands( Display Channel) on AIX, I can't see the Channel sequence number.
It's possible to get the current Channel sequence number with the tool runmqsc on AIX?
Thanks for a helping idea |

Yes, you can see the channel sequence number. The runmqsc manual contains a description of the command you need to use, I suggest you look in there. _________________ MQSeries.net helps those who help themselves.. |

Hi Nigelg.
Thanks for the answer.
I think I did, but no command works very well. On Z/OS no problem to see the current Channel sequence number with the IBM-Tool. I have the MQS-Admin-Guide(only 5.1) and man runmqsc on AIX get no info. The help with the commands on runmqsc don't describe how to get the current Channel sequence number. So my question(google doesn't help me anyway)
Is my documentation too old? Or I'm too blind to read the correct Information? |

You need to use display channel status. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi jefflowrey.
Thanks for the quickly answer.
I used the display channel status.( DISPLAY CHANNEL(CHNNAME)) but the info about the Channel sequence number I didn't see. I saw the status off the channel (run, stop, inactive ....) but no seqnum.
What can I do now??

CURSEQNO
For a sending channel, this is the message sequence number of the last message sent. It is updated as each message is sent, and when the channel becomes in doubt it is the message sequence number of the last message in the in-doubt batch.
For a saved channel instance, this parameter has meaningful information only if the channel instance is in doubt. However, the parameter value is still returned when requested, even if the channel instance is not in doubt.
For a receiving channel, it is the message sequence number of the last message that was received. It is updated as each message is received.
