Am I missing something here?

I am about to have my test machine upgraded to Window XP and I seem to recall some discussion about MQ running on XP...so I decided to do a search on this site

I entered 'XP' (without the quotes) as a search term and got no hits. So I entered 'windows' (without the quotes) got 5000+ hits (displaying the results as posts) the first of which has XP in the body of the post!

Is there a minimum length that the search term has to be? Why is 'XP' not pulling up any results?

Whenever I encounter this 'problem', I add the wildcard character (*) and that usually works.

The search feature only works with 3 characters or greater. The reason being that if I allow 2 or even 1 character filter criteria, then we end up with these huge queries getting run against the DB which:
1. Potentially returns thousands of results, which probably means your criteria was too general
2. Slows down the server for you and everyone else

So I just made the judgement call to cut it off at 3.

Thanks Brandon. I wasn't sure if it was something like that or not. Thanks for clearing up the mystery
