Hello everybody,
a quick intro in what I am trying to do:
HTTP/SOAP input triggers message flow that transforms SOAP message into MQ message and puts it onto an MQOutput node, and then enters an MQGet node to wait for a reply. It takes that reply and feeds it into the reverse flow to convert the reply back into a SOAP message and send that over the SAME HTTP connection back to the client.
In other words: Invoke a service that works of an MQ interface as a web service. The whole process needs to stay within one thread, which is why an MQInput node for the reply won't work. It won't hold on to the HTTP session.
The MQGet node to do exactly that will be available in WBIMB V6, but we need it sooner.
There also is/was a support pack (IA09) that did what I am looking for, but that is not supported on V5 (only 2.1).
The question (you have guessed it ): Has anybody done somehting like that and had to build a plugin that does a MQPUT-MQGET operation needed for request reply?
If so, would you be willing to share the plugin?
This is needed for a proof of concept, not a commercial product. Our ultimate platform will be V6 and we will use the product-supplied plugin once it is available.
Who can and is willing to help?
Thanks a lot in advance,

But the "Search" button will reveal a number of posts where people have migrated the SupportPac to V5.

There is no parameter on the IA09 MQGet plug-in to specify a wait interval. It does an immediate 'get' against the queue and produces either the message or a 'No Message' event (2033). The source code is provided with the plug-in, so we added a wait interval.
Another option we used previously was to insert the original IA09 MQGet plug-in into a loop, using a delay mechanism. We did this by creating a configurable 'sleep' plug-in. However, since we we modified IA09, we no longer use it. Although I don't recommend this method, it is still an option none the less. |
