Can an application running under Websphere Application Server get a request message's MQMD message ID and copy it to a reply message's MQMD correlation ID?

I am not writing the WAS app but am writing the WBI MB flows that sends the message (a request message) and requires that the reply message correlation id be set to the request message message id. I have been told that the WAS app does not have access to the message id and correl id. Does anybody have experience with this?

JMS has access to the correlation ID and the message ID.

The correlation ID can be set from JMS, the message ID can't.

I would believe, although I am not positive, that a BPEL process can also access the correlation ID and message ID.

If the developers tell you babblements about "pure JMS" or whatnot, just remember that WBIMB can process fully and easily the usr folder of the MQRFH2 header that "JMS properties" are placed in.
