Hi,
for config remote odbc data source access for broker, is the command of "UPDATE DATABASE MANAGER CONFIGURATION" needed to be run? on both the data source client side and server side? |

Ask your DBA.
You know what, I'm going to be more helpful than that.
The command is supposed to update the database management configuration.
The database management only exists on the server side - that's what the server side is.
Therefore, it should seem obvious that the command only needs to be run once.
But with DB2, it can be a little confusing. DB2 has catalogs on both sides, and so it can be unclear if something needs to be run on both sides.
On the other hand, if you ran the command once on the server side, and then either ran it again on the client side or asked to see the DBM config on the client side - then you would have seen that it didn't need to be done twice.
So please try harder to research things and test things out before asking questions. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
