Hi,
I'm using IBM Rational Software Development (RAD) Platform V6.0.0.1. We're converting from WMQI to WBI. If anyone can offer answers to these questions regarding the "WBI Message Brokers Toolkit" setup for RAD, I'd appreciate the help:
1. What version of the WBI Message Brokers tooklkit should I be installing so I can bring it up as a Eclipse Window 'Perspective'?
2. In response to my request to get the WBI Toolkit installed, my software support guy installed "Message Brokers Toolkit for WebSphere Studio", V5.0.4 as a standalone app? Is this something that needs to be uninstalled, or is "IT" what I'll need to be using?
Thanks,
Kevin |

The WBIMB v5 Toolkit is built on Eclipse platform 2.1.
RAD is built on Eclipse platform 3.0 or possibly 3.1 - I haven't checked.
You can not bring up the WBIMB Toolkit plugins inside any other Eclipse based product other than WebSphere Studio Application Developer Integration Edition v5.
You can run both RAD and WBIMB Toolkit simultaneously, as separate applications, assuming you have sufficient memory available on your computer. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks for the quick feedback. I'll go ahead and work with the installation 'as is'. |
