Does anyone know what happened to Reconda? Their website is not found. I search for the domain name at Network Solutions and it shows that the domain name is owned by MQ Software. |

Well if the domain now belongs MQ Software, I could imagine that Reconda was taken over by MQ Software. But there is no such announcement on the MQSoftware homepage.
Funny thing. If I type in www.reconda.com into my Internet explorer it hangs up... |

MQSoftware Acquires Reconda
Jul 6, 2005
Acquisition Strengthens MQSoftware Position in Business Transaction Assurance and Middleware Management Markets
MQSoftware, Inc., a leading provider of business transaction assurance and middleware management solutions, training and services, announced today it has acquired privately-held Reconda International Corporation, a provider of Web-based, WebSphere MQ-focused middleware support products. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Reconda products include QN-AppWatch, a Web-based WebSphere MQ administration product designed primarily to enhance WebSphere MQ application development, and QN-StatWatch, a Web-based WebSphere MQ business transaction management product that provides significant audit features through an historical repository. QN-StatWatch also provides chargeback reporting capability designed to transform MQ support cost centers into self-sustaining business units, and reporting for regulatory and SLA compliance. Reconda products are used in numerous WebSphere MQ sites, including Bank of America and Merrill Lynch.
"Information Technology departments in large and small organizations are under intense pressure to deliver reliable, cost-effective business services that support their organizations' key business processes," said Bill Cecchi, MQSoftware president and CEO. "Reconda products are recognized as providing Web-based tools to help configure and manage an organization's business transaction infrastructure, as well as providing analytics to measure SLA performance, enable regulatory compliance, and allocate IT chargebacks. We believe the acquisition of Reconda will enhance our penetration of the WebSphere marketplace and enable us to offer more comprehensive solutions to our customers."

Yeah, if you hadn't noticed, Reconda pulled their sponsorship from this site.
At the time I wasn't told why, but it's apparent that this is part of the change of ownership.
Hopefully MQ Software will show renewed interest in sponsoring the site. _________________ Brandon Duncan

Hi,
First Reconda stops their support of mqseries.net and then they are not a sponsor at the MQ Conference - I was really beginning to wonder what was up.
Given that MQSoftware has QPasa, I'm surprised that they were interested in Reconda. I guess the message tracking business is lucrative. Maybe MQSoftware was looking at Bristol or contact admin and drooling.
Last year IBM ate Candle, today MQSoftware gobbles up Reconda – now we need BMC and / or CA to do a buyout or two. Hence, this will make some nice elbowroom for us little guys!!
Regards,
