There is no command supplied with broker to stop an eg or flow outside of the toolkit. _________________ -wayne |

Current version of message broker (v5) does not provide this functionality. You cannot start/stop an individual message flow within an Exec group using commands.
New version contains enhanced command line administrative support.(Unofficial sources)

See the documentation for the mqsireload command . It's a part of the Event broker.
Thanks. |

.....however the mqsireload command doesn't keep the messageflow in a 'stopped' state as I believe the original poster intended. |

and of course, if you do "get(disable) " the input queue to the msgflow, it will stop ALL flows from running, not a particular flow withing an eg. _________________ -wayne |

Wayne,
If there are 3 flows deployed to an execution group on a broker and if I Get Inhibit one of the input queues you are saying it stops all the 3 flows from running.
My questions:
1) Does this happen always ? I mean, is it a documented feature ?
2) Does it stop flows deployed to other execution groups on the same broker ?
3) If I Get Enable the queue after some time does it start all the msgflows again or do we need to start the msgflows manually ?
Pls reply.
Thanks. |

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my post... what I meant to say is that if you have the same flow (say reading from Q1) deployed to several execution groups, doing a get(disabled) on Q1 will stop those flows in all execution groups. It will not have any effect on any other flows that are reading from other queues..... _________________ -wayne |
