When creating a durable subscription in JMS, one has to provide a client id which jms converts into a correlation id or so I am guessing hoping.

If that's indeed the case, anyone knows the algorithm that the jms is using to convert client ids which can be less than 48 bytes in to a 48 byte correlation id?
