We are current trying to replicate a used FTP command 'SITE FILETYPE=JES' which causes the file sent to be executed on a MVS OS/390 mainframe. Are ther similar commands on MQ that can perform the same function??

So you want to load JCL into one (or more) messages, send those messages to your zOS system and then have them submitted to JES? You could modify supportpac MA12 to do that.
