Of course if your intention of getting the messages from the dead letter queue is to determine how they got there, you'll need to look at the dead-letter header (affixed to each message) and amqsget does not do this. You'll need to use a dead letter handler, I believe there's an amqsdlg program shipped with MQSeries, or write your own...
