Hello there ,
right now we are using MSCS . The cluster contains machine A which contains the Q-pasa Server and the database, machine B which contains the Broker. We are upgrading the hardware and wants to put the Q-pasa server on one server , database on one server, and the broker on a completely different cluster. The questions I have :
1. Is there a way to import the monitoring rules we have to the new hardware or we have to write everything from zero?
2. What do I need to watch for when doing such an upgrade?
3. How easy is it to import the Database for Qpasa?

thanks in advance

Yes, there is a way to migrate. Contact MQSoftware support. They are excellent and will tell you everything you need.

What might be "easy" for you is the hard for me, and the reverse is true. Contact MQSoftware support. They are excellent and will tell you everything you need.

We too work with MQSoftware, and not to praise them too much but their support IS excellent and will help you get along...
You will however have to ask the right questions or describe correctly your situation. They can only use the information you give them....

Enjoy

Yes you can do migrate all of your rules and templates. If you have the guides that came with your software , read chapter 5 about Server Set Migration.
