Hallo,
is there a way the increase the logfilesize of QMgr ?
I know the "legal" way is at creation time: crtmqm -lf _ _ _
Is it possible to increase the logfilesize with a dummy QMgr ???

Kind regards

...correctly: no supported way , but you can try some tricks.

You could, but you turn your MQ data into an unsupported system.

No user-serviceable parts inside...

Best course of action is to redefine your qmgr with the largest log file size possible for your platform, and chalk it down to experience.

Nigel, Chris,

When I would have a tool for restoring the qmgr data area from backup, I should have never tried some hackings. (data = object definitions + messages + ACL; but ACL = messages in this SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE).

Otherwise, why should be my MQ an unsupported system? When I lost my transaction logs (and its backups ) after any disaster (short-curcuit, sysadmin, etc) I should delete my qmgr, if I know simpler and/or faster ways?
