Hi,

I am trying to test if its possible to do two phase commit in client mode. My set up is WAS and MQ on same box, but I am connecting in client mode. I have Oracle also which I need to to XA transaction with MQ & Oracle. I tried with bindings mode and the set up is working as expected. My understanding is with Client mode we can't do two phase. I have tested with XA for client mode but I am not getting any environmental errors.
Some one Please confirm on this.

what is your transport mode ?

I have an MDB with container managed Transaction. I beleive WAS is the Transaction Manager in this case. And my transport mode is TCP.

So Can MQ be a participant in the Global Transaction in Client mode with WAS as the Transaction manager?

To do a 2 phase commit on a "client connection" you would need to have the transactional client....($$)
