Hi ,
I search information for my Project about WQM Messages Length in WBIMB . What is better Messages > or < 100 K ? what about Messages big Messages > 10 Mb ?
Smaller messages are processed faster, that much is obvious.
As to whether it is better to process a certain amount of data as many small messages or fewer large ones - that is the question?
In earlier versions of WMQI/MQSI there were performance issues with parsing large messages using the MRM. I assume these have been fixed.
I would try to keep messages under 1 mb - but you should conduct some benchmarks to see what gives the best result in your installation. It depends what you are doing with the message inside the broker.
If you can process messages in parallel this may aid throughput on a multi-CPU platform, which is another reason to avoid one huge message.
