on AIX, i want to see if the agent controller is running or not. I tried a
ps -ef | grep IBM
ps -ef | grep RAC, but didn't find any. Under what process does it run. How can i tell if it is running.

Also, how do i check the version of my agent controller.

Although the pkginfo works fine on Solaris, I believe that for AIX you need to enter the following:

lslpp -l e22643e413d203c89236cd92ef065fbc

(Agreed, not particularly "user friendly", but I believe it is because ISMP is used to install the code.)

Regards,
Nick.

b.t.w. To be able to use the debugger with CSD3 or later, you want to see the version ("Level") = 5.0.2.1

Hello There,

You can try this command. The program called RAServer starts when you start the agent controller. Unless you manually started you wont see it.

ps -ef|grep RAServer

If its not started and you wanna start it then

cd /usr/IBMRAC/bin and use RAStart.sh script.

Hope this helps.
