Hi,
Assume 3 qmgrs QM1,QM2, and QM3.We need to send messages from QM1 to QM3.But there is no direct connection between QM1 and QM3.For that reason QM2 is working as Intermediate qmgr.I defined remoteQ on QM1 as XYZ.same remoteQ on QM2 and finally the message goes to XYZ local queue on QM3.
My question is ..
how can we send messages from QM1 to QM3 with out using remoteQ(with only xmitq) on QM2?

Hi,

Basically you need to define the follwoing.

On QM1
===
1) Remote Queue pointing to Local Queue(INQ) on QM3.
2) Transmission Queue, whose name is same as Queue Manager Name (QM2)

On QM2
===
1) Transmission Queue, whose name is same as Queue Manager Name (QM3)

On QM3
===
1) Local queue (INQ).

This should solve your problem.

Alternatively, you could specify the Remote Queue Manager Name on the remote queue definition on QM1 and define a queue manager alias for QM3 on QM2. This is particularly useful if your site standards don't allow you to have xmit queues with the same name as the target QMgr.
