Hi.
I've inhereted an
file which has LogonID and Password in it. It was my understanding that the broker kept these in
Code: |
/var/mqsi/registry/${BrkNAMe}/DataSourceUserId and DataSourcePassword |
I've run a few tests without the LogonId and Password in the .odbc.ini file which worked but I am worried something
may need them especially as we also use NEON.
I did bounce the broker after removing the LogonID/Pasword from the file.
Are there ever any reason to keep LogonId/Password in the .odbc.file?
Environment: Solaris 5.8, WMQI 2.1, WMQ 5.3 CSD 8
Many thanks

Yes, your observations are correct, the userid/password are not required in the ODBC ini file.
In the case of WMQI v2.1, refer to the mqsicreatebroker command (-u parameter) in the v2.1 Administration Guide
In the case of WBIMB v5.0, refer to WBIMB v5.0 documentation :
1. Topic "an07080_" covers the mqsicreatebroker command (-u parameter)
2. Topic "an09155_" covers the mqsisetdbparms command _________________ Regards, Ian |
