I am using WBIMB Toolkit as a standalone IDE (I don't have WSAD on my machine.. just Toolkit) for my development.
How can I integrate ClearCase with it?
Do I need to update my Toolkit first ( I am already on CSD4)??
Where can I get ClearCase plugins for Toolkit?
I have read support pac IC04. Typically it talks more about ClearCase than How we can actually manage versions of our message flow and message set projects.. and other aspects of SCM with Toolkit...
Some quick guidence is appreciated...
Thanks in advance.

You can download the Eclipse plug-in for ClearCase from url mentioned in this thread,
http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15848&highlight=clearcase

You need to have ClearCase server in your environment to use this functionality. Also, you can refer to some of the ClearCase documentation on how to label/maintain different versions of your source code.

Thanks Kiran,
Do I need to update my toolkit before installing the plug-in?
There is a link given by fschofer in one of my posts :
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/mqseries/fixes/wbimb50
to update the toolkit.

All,

Yes I believe you need to first update the toolkit through installing CSD 4 (if not already done so).

Then you can d/l the correct Rational Eclipse plugin from here...

http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/rational/library/content/03July/2500/2834/ClearCase/clearcase_plugins.html

Make sure and choose the right version and OS.

Extract “Rational” folder from the zip file to WBIMB_HOME/ folder
Using the Install/Update perspective, go to Rational folder and right click on “Link Product Extension” to install the Rational plug-in.

Now it's installed but you have to reference it in each perspective... i.e. do the following in each broker perspective!

Window>Customize Perspective>expand Other>select ClearCase>respond OK

Connect to ClearCase by selecting it in the toolbar

Hope this helps!

Hi ashoon,

when I try to connect to ClearCase the toolkit does not respond.

My configuration:
WBIMB v5.0.4
ClearCase plug-in is com.rational.clearcase.win32-2.2.1.46

Do I need to setup anything from local ClearCase client ?
