I have five queue managers in a cluster, which has been working fine. For some reason one queue manager has started to misbehave. The symptoms are that the cluster command queue seems to be building up messages so I can't do a refresh or anything (they just add messages on the queue). The amqrrmfa process is running and has the queue open for input. There are no ffst and no errors in the logs. Lots of cluster name resolution erros, obviously because it can't ask the repository where the queues are. It works sending to queues it already knows about. contact admin!

Any thoughts? Due to time constraints I'm probably going to delete and recreate it. (MQ 5.3 CSD7 on AIX)

I would try to restart mq first.

there is a section in csd09 that may describe your error:

IY25795 - Under certain circumstances MQSeries could hang in
component rfxWaitCollection on or soon after startup
due to a problem with the amqrrmfa repository manager
process. This problem may have occurred on both
partial and full cluster repositories.

maybe it is worth upgrading to csq09 if the error persists.
