Hello all,
I have installed the WBIMB toolkit on my laptop, which connects to a remote configuration manager. However, each time I attempt to import an existing message flow or message set project to my workspace, the toolkit just hangs. Has anyone else experienced this sort of behavior?
Thanks! |

Hi,
Where are the message flow and message set projects? On your laptop or on the configmgr system? If they are on the remote system, then you might need to check whether the mapped drive is available when you are trying to import the flows and sets. If they are on the local drive, then check the .log file in your eclipse\workspace\.metadata directory.

How much memory do you have on your laptop?
How much memory your toolkit is using?
On my system i set up the path to use 512MB
toolkit icon>right click select properties>in Target field i have "C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers\eclipse\mqsistudio.exe" -Xms512M |

Thanks. The message flows and sets are local. I did notice that I had not installed MDAC v2.8 or a CSD on the toolkit machine. Would that make a difference? |

YES.
Don't use this product without at least FixPack (CSD) 1 installed! And it's always better to keep every machine at the same fixpack level. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I thought that brain-dead version had been replaced a long time ago, and the current "base" level didn't suffer the same fate.
But I guess that depends on how long ago jeasterl got his copy.

Yeah. Last I knew, the installs had been refresed to FP2.
But I still probably would FP3 it. And, as you say, we don't know how old the install media was. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
