I don't think flows can access MQ Namelists.
Wouldn't that be a good idea? That way we could change the way a flow works dynamically. Which queues it writes to, whether it traces, where it traces to, etc could all be modified by the Admin dynamically.
Perhaps a special node, that could have a property on how often it checks the Namelist for updates (every execution, only at messages flow start up, every hour), for perfomance reasons. _________________ Peter Potkay

I'd be surprised if flows could access MQ Namelists as well.
I'd also prefer to use a database table or a property file to hold this kind of runtime control information, instead of a fairly limited MQ proprietary container like a Namelist.
That way, for example, my business operations staff could handle this stuff from a web screen rather than needing my help - if they wanted to change the operational characteristics of their flows. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
