Hi everyone,
Our company is thinking of using MQ Workflow for one of our projects ..
I'm new to Workflow and have some basic doubts.
Working with MQ, I know there's a clear role distinction between a MQSeries administrator and MQSeries developer. Is there a similar distinction in the case of Workflow ?
What kind of administrative / support tasks does a MQ Workflow implementation involve? What daily support activities does this involve ?
Appreciate your inputs
Thanks

Samuel:
The MQWorkflow Administrator has to look at both the Database (DB2 or Oracle) and MQ Series. Generally the function of managing this infrastructure can be incorporated into the normal DBA and MQ administrative functions.
There are some workflow specific things you would want to monitor, but they are all fairly well documented. See the Admin guide, and the Production Considerations support pack.
The MQWF developer needs to learn the MQWF API, and generally has little to no need to use DB2, and generally only needs to get/put to MQSeries queues for process starting, and UPES activities. _________________ John McDonald
