Hi,
Can anybody help me in that kind of task? I have a Host IBM/DB2, and a WebSphere App Server (J2EE apps) attending to the user, with MQSeries technology integrating them. The problem is that there are some points in the process chain (processes tasks, processes running in WebSphere, queries executing in DB2, integration with MQSeries, etc) that are too slow, depending on the day and on the kind of user action. So, I would like to be pro-active, and to be able to report and alert about possible bottleknesses, detecting the exact problematic point in the chain, before the problem (the user!) arrives to me.
Somebody could help me?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Pablo. |

Ideally you would have to invest some $$$. MQSoftware's QPasa will allow you to monitor all 3 (WAS + MQ + DB2). Now if you need to monitor for SLAs you might want to add QNami...
(No I don't work for MQSoftware, I just enjoy some of their products)

Pretty much all of the major players in the MQ monitoring space are trying to solve your exact problem. Where they are in the process is variable, however.
Is anyone actually running QNami in production? I haven't heard.
TransactionVision is a very mature product for doing this.
contact admin's Contact Admin Suite has a transactional monitoring component as well.
But none of these are inexpensive. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
