Hi,

Suppose we have a scenario with one publisher and multiple subscribers.

What if ALL subscribers are down ( eg. due to network failures and so on ) are publications then held on the queue until one or all of the subscribers become "online" again ?

Does MQ keep information about who has previously subscribed ?

How does it work ?

Regards
Hench

It depends on if it is a durable or retained subscription or not.

If it is not durable or retained, then no messages will be published if there are no subscribers active for a current topic.

Consult the documentation of your pub/sub broker for more information. Also, the Using Java manual and the "Pub/Sub" manual.
