I am capturing the container data into Global Data container. I also have audit trail turned on with Filter mode ( I guess I cannot use both filter mode and condensed mode at the same time).
I am just wondering as to how to co-relate the data from these two tables, GC and Audit Trail.
Any ideas or best practises appreciated.

I don't think you need to use the Global container table at all, the whenver the contents are modified by any activity, the 21082 record is cut and that contains the GDC data. _________________ John McDonald

Hi Jmac,
Do you mean to say that I can access the Container data from the audit trail tables themselves without having to map the container data to GC??
I am a lil confused. I need to obtain some container data along with other stats like no.of invocations etc...
Looking for way to pull it out from WF Database . Be it audit table or GC table.
Thanks |

Yes in the 21082 record the data in the Global Container content column is the data you are looking for.
From the Admin Guide regarding this column:
Contains the content of the global container as XML stream. _________________ John McDonald

John,
I think you missed Rishi's point:
you won't get audit trail events 21082 without using GCs.
So: you have to use GCs to obtain container data but you can retrieve them only from audit trail. |

Yes I see what Volker has pointed out, I didn't quite read carefully enough. You have to have the GDC defined and you must map the data to the GDC or the 21082 will not be cut. Sorry for the confusion _________________ John McDonald
