Is it possible to fully/partially delete physical broker through the toolkit? I am running to a problem that my toolkit doesn't recognize the physical broker. Also, when i try to add a broker to my domain connection, I receive an BIP1511E error. After a further investigation, IBM website showed me that I performed an incorrect sequence of actions when I deleted the broker and re-created a broker of the same name. But all I did was remove the domain connection and server project from my toolkit. Can anyone help? |

There are two stages to deleting a broker.
The first is to delete it from the configuration manager. This can be done from the Toolkit.
The second is to delete it from the command line. This can't be done from the Toolkit.
You can't create a new broker succesfully with the same name on the same machine until you have done both stages. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

If it is the case, would I be able to restore the broker from my toolkit or I have to physically delete and recreate the broker using commands. Thanks for your reply! |

It depends.
If you REMOVED the domain, rather than deleted the broker, then all you have really done is disconnected your tooling from the configuration manager.
If you instructed the domain to DELETE the broker, then you have to complete the deletion using mqsideletebroker. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I can't deploy a production fix using the Control Center. We are on MQ Integrator 2.1. For some reason when I deleted a message set so I could import a new updated version with the same name, I lost connectivity to my brokers in the Assignments Tab and Topocology. I can still see the brokers in the Operations tab. I try to add the brokers back in Topology but it says they already exist with a BIP1511E. I really just want the brokers to be associated back with the Control Center. It is our production environment and I don't want to delete and recreate since the brokers with the run time data are working. I am terribly stuck because I need to deploy the changed message set but nothing in the Assignments tab to let me do that. How can I fix the Control Center? |
